The Mill Stone pub is a traditional rustic English pub complete with wooden floors, beams and relaxed spaces for dining or just enjoying a pint. Log fires burn in the winter and in summer we open the doors out to our large patio. Outside, as well as our large, grassy, riverside beer gardens, we have covered seating for all year round al fresco dining with heaters and lighting. Bartons Mill Restaurant is adjacent to the pub, with a separate entrance for weddings and private functions such as family events, birthdays and office get-togethers. Spread across two floors you will be captivated by its history and charm.

Welcome to our pub, restaurant and wedding venue
Bartons Mill Pub & Dining is a converted mill, steeped in history and set in the beautiful surroundings of the Hampshire countryside. With its own lake and river, complete with swans, ducks and otters, it has the remnants of a working water wheel set alongside extensive beer gardens. Located in Old Basing, near Basingstoke, with easy access from the M3 motorway, we are perfectly situated for a pitstop when exploring Basing House, the Milestone Museum or Hackwood Park, or for a staycation if visiting Highclere Castle or the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, which are both less than half an hour away. We are proud to be a dog friendly and inclusive venue for all.
